Setting up Filofax with DIY Fish Pages (with an emphasis on memory issues*)

Part 6:  Learning as I go…

After starting to add appointments and such to the pages, I realized that I was duplicating a lot of work.  While some duplicating is good for me because it cements certain things in my mind, too much of it is a waste of time and energy.

I took a look at this page on Fish’s blog: Avoiding Duplications and studied how she used her various pages to avoid duplication of work and yet not lose stuff.

In light of this new information, I went back and printed all the monthly sheets through June of 2016 and removed my 2015 yearly calendar from my Filofax.  This way instead of penciling things in on the yearly and then moving the same items to the monthly sheet, I’ll just put them on the monthly calendar directly.  Anything after June, 2016 can go on the 3 year future planning calendar I have in the back of my Filofax.  Note that the monthly sheets beginning in 2016 need to be printed on legal size paper rather than letter size, at least for the A5 pages.

Just as a reminder, the directory and files look like this:
