Yes to Carrots Nourishing Shampoo
Linus has a slightly oily coat. Most Goldens do as it repels dirt and water. However, because Linus is out working and in the public eye so much, he needs to look, feel, and smell great all the time. I’d been experimenting with various dog and puppy shampoos only to find that they were either too stripping, leaving his fur and skin too dry, or too moisturizing, which meant he only looked, smelled, and felt nice for maybe a day or two.
I had some Yes to Carrots! Nourishing Shampoo hanging out on the shelf in my shower and I went to wash Linus and had forgotten his dog shampoo. So I thought, “what the heck,” grabbed the Yes to Carrots! and went to town.
This stuff is amazing. It seems to be the perfect balance of cleansing and conditioning. He smells amazing for days and days, which allows me to shampoo him less, a real blessing when it’s so cold outside. His fur gets super soft and shines.
Normally I would never use a human shampoo on a dog but this stuff rocks. We’ve been using it for several months now and there’s been no adverse reactions whatsoever. And as a bonus, this product is cruelty-free, has no sulfates or parabens, and can be easily found on-line, at Target, and at Walgreens.
